Hello everyone. I hope the month of May has treated you well.
Our meeting for this month will again be a no host lunch at the Mitsui buffet in Clovis. I will not be able to attend due to a prior commitment at KVPT. However, our vice-chairman Mr. Tom Whitlock will step in to get things rolling, thanks Tom. As always, bring any questions or suggestion to the gathering and I’ll see you in June.

Thanks to our friends at the NBT 23 Media Tours for a great presentation and lunch during the March meeting. For our April gathering we will return to the Mitsui buffet in Clovis on Thursday, April 27th. As always, bring any broadcasting question/concerns fro us to discuss. Hi everyone. just a quick reminder that this months gathering of the SBE 66 group will be on the last Tuesday of the month 3/28/2023. Instead of our regular day (last Thursday of the month). NBT Tours is making a stop in Fresno, and I wanted our SBE Ch-66 members, to have a chance to see products from the 20+ different manufactures NBT represents. more…

It was great to see all of you at the big dinner feast at Luna’s last month. Thanks for your vote(s) of confidence in reinstalling Tom Whitlock and myself as the SBE66 chair and vice-chair. Steve Dresser will continue as the Chapter’s Secretary-Treasurer doing his usual stellar job. Our winter weather has returned, but don’t let that keep you from attending our upcoming February meeting and no-host lunch at George’s in Fresno (see details just above my head). This will be our second time at George’s Bar and Grill, due to the great response from those who attended the December luncheon. This month’s gathering of the Central Valley SBE group will be Thursday the 17th, a week early due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Our good friend Todd Lopes at Ventura broadcasting has arranged a special pre-Thanksgiving feast for all of us to enjoy at the meeting-thanks Todd and VBC! We will be gathering over at Valley PBS (KVPT CH18) at 6PM on Thursday the 17th. We would like to get an attendance count to help plan the meal, so please RSVP to me at (559) 266-1800 ext.380 or leave a message on the sbe-tech email forum. Guests are OK, just let us know. This month’s gathering of the Central Valley SBE group will be Thursday the 28th at the Mitsui Buffet in Clovis, for a no-host lunch. I was anticipating that we might have a few weary NAB travelers at the meeting since the show was scheduled to begin a day earlier. From the emails I’ve seen so far, it appears that many of you may still be travelling heading back to the valley as we are in progress. PBS didn’t pony up the funds for me to head out east to the show, so I’ll have to rely on those of you who were lucky enough to make it to the equipment booths for all the details. As always, please bring any local issues and concerns that you might have for us to discuss at the Thursday meeting. The staff at Mitsui would like us to pay as one group, so I’ll be collecting the lunch payments before you leave our meeting area. Looking forward to seeing you there.
