Hello Everyone. Things are finally moving along at VPBS on the transmitter rebuilt and I may not be able to make it to this months SBE Meeting. If so, our vice-chair Tom Whitlock will be presiding. As noted above, due to some concerns about the Mitsui Buffet, we will be returning to Mountain Mikes Pizza in Clovis. If you click on the address text text it will link to a direction map. Bring any suggestions you might have for a replacement meeting venue.
Also, Gary Cocola will be moving out of his long-time Herndon avenue facility in the next few months. You might remember when he hosted SBE66 at his studios for a dinner meeting awhile back. Cocola Broadcasting engineer Dave Johnson mentioned that they will have some equipment excess to their needs at the new facility, and would like to make the items available to any broadcasters who could put them to good use. Engineer Dave was scheduled to join us at our upcoming Thursday meeting but schedule changes will keep him up at Meadow Lakes on that day. Dave Johnson mentioned that he should be able to have the Cocola Herndon Ave. facility opened near the end of June for viewing the excess equipment. We’ll keep you updated on the date and time.
