Look up in the sky. What do you see? Clouds, birds, the moon, a great sunset? Sure, depending on the time, and where you might be at the moment.

Many of us are often at the broadcast studio or station transmitter site. When we peer skyward, a tower(s) and antenna array(s) will certainly be in view. Possibly, even a not-so-shadowy human figure might be spotted, securely strapped, safely swathed, with tools in hand, peering down giving you a thumbs-up. Yep, Mr. Beckman again. And so it has been for many a year, Carl and crew, applying that infamous Postal Service creed to your tower project, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds” ….and then some! I hope you can join us at the annual Picnic-BBQ, where we will be honoring Carl Beckman on his well-deserved retirement. A big cake will be in order. You can bet it will probably have a tower on it somewhere. Carl has promised that we won’t have to look up in the sky to find him. That will make it a bit easier to walk up and shake his hand.
