As many of you know, long time local broadcast engineer Scott Dean passed away last week. The Newsletter includes a short memorial on his passing.
Our monthly SBE66 gathering is just hours away. I would sure like to see you there. As always, bring any engineering questions and concerns and maybe even a few memories of our friend Scott Dean. Also, you’ll notice a new ad card in the Newsletter from our friends at Cocola Broadcasting. Gary, thanks for supporting SBE66, it was good to see you at last month’s pizza Bash. Which reminds me, thanks for your vote (railroad) of confidence during the elections. I’ll be around for another year as chairman of our fine Central Valley chapter. Tom Whitlock will be joining me, as he takes over the vice-chairman’s position as Ken Preston had to step down due to a technicality. Richard B. Smith will be joining us to help coordinate future programs for the monthly meetings. Steve Dresser will continue providing his stellar service as the Chapter 66 secretary-treasurer. I’ll catch you all Thursday at noon at the Mitsui Buffet in Clovis.
