The October meeting for SBE Chapter 66 has been dropped. The November meeting has a scheduled presentation from Orban, at this writing. We’ll keep you posted on the time, date and location once it’s finalized.

The EAS NPT on October 2, 2018 went well for most. The FCC has announced they will keep Form Two submissions open until November 19th, largely due to the difficulties encountered with the FCC servers while trying to file the forms. Here is the link to the FCC ETRS site. Form Three is due on no later than November 19th

The International Bureau (IB) has announced a two-week extension, through October 31, 2018, to the filing window for fixed-satellite service (FSS) earth stations currently operating in the 3.7-4.2 GHz frequency band. Curious about the location of the over 7700 (so far) registered dish sites? Check out T H I S link. Get more information on the registration process H E R E.

Sure, the weather is nice now, but what about those upcoming trips to the transmitter site when things may not be as pleasant? Find out what’s in store by going online to the NWS     and insert the zip code that’s closest to where you will be, say 93602 for Meadow Lakes. On your smart phone go to  mobile.weather.gova mobile phone website application that you bookmark. You’ll find useful information including hourly forecasts for temperatures, wind direction and speed, cloud cover, rain or snow amounts and more!
