Well it always seems to happen, that post-Thanksgiving craziness that lurks about-especially when you’re close to a large shopping mall. It has a way of making the daily craziness of the broadcast facility seem a bit more tolerable, maybe even a welcome escape. It remains to be seen just how the upcoming snow storms, power outages, NWS alerts, etc. will add to the mix. For those who aren’t fortunate enough to have large UPS’s with self-alerting low battery detectors, here is a  LINK  to a clever way of diagnosing UPS battery capability before that unexpected power drop does it for you.

Are you involved in an AM radio facility? The FCC continues to ‘Improve’ AM Radio, making more changes that they hope will make it easier for AM station owners to survive.  For more details click   HERE.

I’m not sure the FCC can be as helpful for IHeartMedia and its bondholders, who are still trying to figure out how to handle the over $20 Billion owed by the company.  Contributing to the poor operating performance is the interest due on the huge debt load.  The latest numbers show their stock selling at under 20 cents a share. Ouch!

Our SBE 66 gathering at the Mitsui Buffet in Clovis is a non-hosted affair, but as always we need your input on what’s happening (or needs to happen) to keep Central Valley Broadcasting safe from the crazy zone. See you Thursday November 30th at noon.
