Greetings. I hope you are all enjoying the much anticipated rain and like me, have found and repaired all the places that leak. Actually, I had addressed all the places that usually leak, since I know where they are. It’s the NEW ones that I didn’t know about that cause problems. Now I know.
As many of you know, the FAA will be streamlining the NOTAM process. The planned change will allow tower owners to self-select the amount of time their NOTAMs remain active. The proposed update (January 2015) is included in this newsletter. The Federal Communications Commission states this change reflects their “commitment in eliminating or reforming outdated requirements and processes.” Bravo!
Although the upcoming meeting contains no (as Chariman Holden would say) Dog and Pony Show, we’ll be addressing the topic of selecting a new station to be the LP2 for SJV EAS. Currently the LP2 is KFSN-TV in Fresno.

I hope you can make our last meeting of 2014. When Vice Chairman Pat Fennacy finds out he’s the ‘Secret Santa’ things could get interesting. See you at the HomeTown Buffet in Clovis.
