This year’s NAB Convention is now history. I was there with 98,000+ close friends (shoulder-to-shoulder) to see all the new goodies, as well as visit my favorite vendors to give them “constructive” criticism or kudos for a fine product. This year, it was more of the latter, I’m happy to say.
4K video was the main buzzword and IP transport is still popular and expanding to all areas as well. All four days were very busy and my favorite gathering was again the Ham Radio reception, hosted by our old friends Bob Heil and his wife Sarah. I enjoyed a nice visit with them, and found they are still very interested in returning to Fresno to present some new products at our SBE chapter meeting tentatively this Fall.
This month’s hosted meeting will feature our own Tom Driggers of RF Specialties. He will bring along the ever popular Ellis Terry to present the latest from Nautel and their fine exciter/transmitter line.
We will be converging on the Hometown Buffet at Shaw and Peach in Clovis…See you all there!
