The Twenty-Thirteen broadcasting roller coaster ride is rounding the final turn and heading for the last surprise drop through the water pit.  I’m going to try and not get wet (again).  I think this is the part of the ride when they take the group flash picture, so be sure you’re smiling.  When the passenger restraint is raised, step out and join the SBE66 crew at the Clovis Hometown Buffet this Thursday at noon.  Tell us about your ride on the 2013 roller coaster.

Steve Dresser has been working overtime since the LPFM applications are now official, so be sure to check out his Broadcast Activity Report in this Newsletter.

Albert Einstein is often attributed as saying that, A clean desk is a sign of a sick mind.”  What might he say about a clean transmitter room?  Sick mind or not, here’s a link to a great article by retired communications engineer, Gary Peterson about the mindless task of tidying-up the transmitter room.

If you hold an SBE certification that expires January 1, 2014, plan to send your recertification application to the national office prior to the deadline.  Recertification applications are available at the SBE website. Recertification is required every five years. Applications may be mailed or faxed to SBE. Mail to: SBE, 9102 N. Meridian St. Suite 150, Indianapolis, IN 46260. The fax number is (317) 846-9120.

Perhaps you’re thinking about getting your certification in 2014?  Here are some links to possible questions you might have in completing that task:
