Ahhhh Spring! I have just returned from a short, but fun vacation back East. We spent three days in Nashville–great fun! In addition to three days at the world’s largest Geekvention . . . Oops, I meant Hamvention in Dayton, OH.
This is where 25,000+ Hams meet and swap stuff they bought last year and see all the newest Ham hardware and software. This year, there were over 2500 vendors both amateur and commercial. It took all three days to wander through the convention center and outside swap area. Kinda like NAB, only for Hams. Fresno’s M2 team was there with their antenna and rotor products. I also talked with Bob Heil and he would like to visit us again! He would like to do a presentation on his new products, so look for him probably this Fall for a SBE66 luncheon meeting.
Remember, now is the time to prepare for what may be a long HOT summer at our transmitter sites!
This month’s meeting will be hosted by our old friend Frank Grundstein of Logitek, manufacturers of great, logical audio boards. I hope to see you at HTB Clovis, this Thursday.
