The NAB Show is less than three weeks away (April 6-11). If you’re attending, your schedule is probably starting to fill up. Be sure to leave time to drop by the SBE booth and attend the SBE Membership Meeting on Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.
The SBE exhibit booth is in the second floor lobby area of the South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). The booth features technical broadcasting books, certification information and the SBE CertPreview (study guides). For those members who have yet to renew their membership, that can be accomplished there as well. New member applications will also be accepted.
Four SBE Sustaining Members are each sponsoring a day at the booth (Monday – Thursday) and we are giving away a $200 Fry’s Electronics gift card each day. Just stop by the booth and leave your business card in the “fish bowl” each day and you’ll be eligible for each day’s drawing. Daily sponsors include, Boxx Communications, Ka You Systems, Nemal Electronics and Black Magic Design.
The SBE Membership Meeting is a great opportunity to meet up with SBE friends from around the country. It will be held in Room S227 of the LVCC. The first 100 in attendance will receive an SBE pedometer. Prizes include three dinner gift cards, SBE tumblers and, the big prize, a $300 Fry’s Electronics gift card. Local SBE chapter certification chairmen will be recognized for incremental service milestones and updates on SBE activities will be provided, including the upcoming 50th anniversary in 2014.
