IP Networking, part 2 – Routing and Switching

This is the second webinar in a series that aids in the self-study for the SBE Certified Broadcast Networking Engineer (CBNE™) certification exam. The webinar will cover how Unicast and Multicast are implemented in IP Networking, when to route and when to switch, and implementing QoS for audio and video applications. Content will be focused primarily on the broadcast plant. The live webinar will be held on Tuesday, December 4, from 2:00-3:30 p.m. ET.
Those who wish to embark on self-study preparation for the SBE CBNE™ certification exam in a structured approach or one who desires an understanding of IP based networking will benefit from this webinar.

Wayne Pecena, CPBE, 8-VSB, AMD, DRB, CBNE is instructing the webinar on routing and switching on December 4.

Instructing is the 2012 SBE Educator of Year, Wayne Pecena, CPBE, 8-VSB, AMD, DRB, CBNE. He is Assistant Director of Educational Broadcast Services in the Office of Information Technology at Texas A&M University. Pecena is responsible for leading technology implementation for the enterprise network of the Texas A&M University System, supporting over 150 IP data locations and over 350 videoconference sites within Texas and internationally. He has over 35 years of broadcast telecommunications experience and holds BS and MS degrees from Texas A&M University.
