The SBE recently held a contest to help increase awareness and use of its blog and other social networking channels.
Members and guests were invited to post when they began in the broadcast engineering industry. Contestant Kirk Chestnut, CPBE of Chapter 59, was randomly drawn to receive a $25 gift card from Fry’s Electronics. SBE Sustaining Members were encouraged to Retweet the blog contest message to their followers. Jampro was drawn from among those companies participating and won a free advertisement on the SBE website for a month. The SBE Blog Contest ran from June 20 – July 2. There were 128 entries and 858 total Blog views, an increase of 331% over a similar period just prior to the contest. Read the contestants blog comments here.
